Northern Nevada Select Clubs National League

Players North Soccer Club is a proud member of the Select Clubs National League.  The SCNL (Select Clubs National League) is a new national competition platform for the nation’s leading soccer clubs.  Players North is the only Northern Nevada club in the SCNL and is the first youth soccer club in Northern Nevada to bring a national league format to Reno, Sparks and Carson City.

The SCNL is the product of collaboration and alliance by many of the leading clubs nationally to take charge and lead the way for a best possible youth soccer experience. The league will allow for a higher level of competition with maximum exposure to college coaches as well as allowing for high school sports experience for student athletes. The SCNL will offer regional and national competitions for boys and girls teams ages U13 to U19.  All regional and national competitions will be played during the nation’s leading showcase events and member club tournaments, reducing the demand on travel while providing maximum exposure to college coaches and scouts.

The list of SCNL member clubs is growing weekly and includes Chicago Inter Soccer Club, Slammers Football Club, Tonka Fusion Elite, Utah USA Alliance, Real Salt Lake Arizona, Players SC Las Vegas, Michigan Burn, MVLA Soccer Club, Mustang Soccer and San Juan Soccer Club to name just a few.

Players North SC has an unprecedented opportunity for our players to access the Select Clubs National League (SCNL) which provides exposure to elite level players. SCNL is just one of the many ways Players SC is continually striving to develop and pursue the highest level available for young players in our community.” says Marco Merlo, Technical Director of Players North Soccer Club.

Players North will participate in the Northwest Region of the SCNL, featuring clubs from Northern Nevada, Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Montana.  The SCNL will provide an additional avenue for the Club’s college bound players to showcase their talents and test themselves against some of the best club’s in the country.  Players North SC Premier teams will have the option of the SCNL in addition to their normal league play in NorCal Premier Leagues Region 9, Region 6 and State Premier Divisions.

Says Players North Club President, Randy Ritter “We are proud to be the first and the only club to bring a national league competition to the Reno, Sparks and Carson City soccer community.  I am very excited to be able to offer this opportunity to our Club’s elite players and premier level teams.”
